Collected Works

Various video projects I have worked on throughout my time at Newhouse.

Vintage Variety Videos

These are late-night style episodes created in my Multi-Camera Production class at Newhouse. The concept, planning, booking, writing, filming and editing were all done entirely by the students. The professor was there to provide feedback and instruct us on how to use the equipment in the multi-camera studio and control room.

We decided on a decades theme, episodes that would transport us back to certain decades and take a look at how the media, world and Syracuse University itself were different at the time. The episodes were broken up into 3 segments; a musical guest, an interview, and a game-show, with 2-3 minute comedy skits in between segments. Each episode took on the essence of its particular decade, with everything down to the graphics keeping in theme.

My main responsibility was producing the comedy skits, 2 per episode, 6 in total. I co-wrote and helped edit all 6, as well as directed 3. However, on top of this responsibility I was involved in other segments in-studio as a camera operator, floor manager, and technical director.

More Newhouse Projects

Videos I did for classes and clubs.

The Last Fry

This is a short film I wrote, directed and helped edit for my Advanced Filmmaking capstone class at Newhouse. This was an experience that taught me a lot about the entire process of producing a film, even something as seemingly simple as a 9-minute short film took countless people working together effectively as a team. From writing and editing alone in a room to booking actors and working with local businesses to reserve locations and directing those actors on-set, this helped me gain valuable experience and insight into all of the cogs required to create films and TV.

Nostalgia

This is my final project for my Cinematography class at Newhouse. Here I focused on creating a feeling or mood in the viewer purely through visuals and sound. I was inspired by the feelings of nostalgia I was already beginning to feel with my friends during my last few months on campus. I filmed and edited the entire thing myself.

Passion Projects

These are a few short videos I made in my free time.
There are few things I enjoy more than having a silly idea and going out with friends and having fun creating it.
